Janakpur Dham is one of the best and lovely places in Nepal . It is one of the most visited site in Nepal , also all over the world . It is located in Asia continent . We all know that , Nepal is known as " The Switzerland Of Asia " . So you can guess and imagine about Janakpur , that how it could be .
The area of Janakpur Dham is 100.20 sq. km ( 38.69 sq. miles ) with population of 1,73,924 , according to the census 2015 report . It was founded in early 18th century . It is the third biggest city in Terai region of Nepal and seventh biggest city in Nepal .

Let me tell you , It is one of the finest visited place in Nepal . It is famous for its religious , cultural and historical background . It is called the " Birth Place Of Goddess Sita " . Actually , it is the place where " Goddess Sita " , the Hindu Mythological Goddess , was born . To remember " Goddess Sita " , a temple is built in Janakpur Dham Called " The Janaki Temple " and it is the biggest temple of Nepal . It is so beautiful , that everyday , there comes a crowd of people to enjoy its beauty . There is also a cultural museum inside Janaki Temple .
